Do I really need X-rays?
At Aloha Wellness, we take a conservative and non-invasive approach to imaging. We use advanced Insight© software to assess spinal function without routine x-rays. After over 20 years of experience using Insight© alongside traditional x-rays, we’ve found it accurately identifies nervous system involvement and vertebral subluxations—without unnecessary radiation.
X-rays are typically only recommended in cases involving trauma, injury, or suspected disease, such as after a car accident or when managing advanced arthritic conditions. In such cases, we refer patients to trusted radiologists for imaging.
While many chiropractic techniques use x-rays to analyze alignment and degeneration, we focus on functional assessments—like posture analysis, muscle tone, and range of motion—to safely and effectively guide care. Rest assured, if an x-ray is truly needed, we’ll help coordinate it. But for most patients, routine imaging simply isn’t necessary.
How long is the first visit?
Your initial appointment typically lasts 45–60 minutes, including consultation, assessment, and your first treatment or nutrition plan adjustment or nutrition outline. Your personalized Report of Findings is covered on your next visit.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing to allow for easy movement during your exam and any hands-on treatment.
Can chiropractic care help with more than just back pain?
Absolutely. We provide lasting relief for a variety of issues including headaches, fatigue, posture, extremity pain, and nervous system-related dysfunction.
How often will I need to come in?
Your care plan is customized to your needs—some patients come weekly, others bi-weekly or monthly, depending on goals and progress.
